Fingernails + Sheaberry = LOVE July 28 2014, 0 Comments
Let’s talk fingernails. Mine were always thin and brittle, breaking just when I would start to get the slightest inkling of how it might feel to be glamorous. And when they broke, which was all the time, they would rip painfully across the quick. I shudder just thinking about it. It would take weeks for the nail to grow long enough for me to tear it off again by accident.
Ironically, I married a classical guitarist with the most amazing fingernails. His nails are naturally strong, and he is constantly filing them because they get too long. It is a fantasy I could only imagine. His nails could be sold by the pound at a hardware store. And I guess that’s a good thing since they are his livelihood. (Check out his music at www.masakazuito.com!)
Anyway, my coveting of my husband’s nails ended a few short months after I began using lotion bars. The ingredients in Sheaberry are the Fountain of Strength for nails. Shea butter and coconut oil work miracles to build stronger nails, and now I’m the one with a file nearby because, after years of long-nail-longing, I now know from experience that I prefer my nails on the short side.
So, if you want stronger nails – for your livelihood or your looks – give Sheaberry bars a try. All you need to do, as my husband shows in the photo above, is run the bar across your nails, and then rub the emollients into your nails and cuticles. I promise Sheaberry will make a noticeable difference for your skin and your fingernails.

Welcome to Sheaberry's SkinLOVE blog, where you will find tips and tricks to keep your skin healthy.
Sheaberry owes its existence to my friend Kate. One day Kate developed hives all over her body. In response to this she did what most of us would do. She tried to keep from scratching for months until she broke down and saw a doctor. It turned out that Kate had an allergy to cetyl alcohol, an ingredient in almost every liquid lotion.
With that discovery it was time to get creative, and Kate started moisturizing her skin with oils and raw shea butter. This morphed into the creation of solid lotion bars, which did wonders for her skin beyond just avoiding hives. These solid lotion bars transformed Kate's skin... it looked fabulous! So I did what any friend would do. I forced her teach me how to make them.
Fast forward to the present, and I am now aware of the toxic junk added to most lotions. I pay attention to what I put on my skin and into my body so I can stay as healthy as possible… but don’t be fooled, I still love stinky cheese and dark chocolate, and would devour them all day if I could.
So, if you are interested in non-toxic, all-natural products - or just like clean(ish) living - join me on a journey of discovery to look and feel our best. I will share with you what I know and learn along the way, and I would love to hear from you what you know and learn.
And if you like what you read, do me a favor and let others know. I'll do the same for you and your passions.
Until next time...
